Mental Fitness

Mental wellness is of the utmost importance to us at YourLife Gym. Not only do we strive to help you achieve your physical fitness and strength goals, but we also help you become more self-aware and mentally resilient through our free Mental Fitness Program. 

We developed the program to empower our community members with skills, tools, and strategies for building their mental fortitude and deepening their understanding of themselves so they can create the life they desire. Our mental fitness coaches — Andrew Loesch and Taylor Ballinger — motivate and inspire members to identify areas in need of growth and step beyond their comfort zones to grow mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Our coaches hold Virtual Community Classes, followed by Q&A sessions, twice weekly to discuss topics related to our three core values of mental fitness: self-leadership, emotional intelligence, and mental toughness. 

Self-Leadership

Self-leadership is the process of developing a deeper awareness and relationship with yourself so that you can lead yourself along the life path you choose. Developing self-leadership requires working on self-accountability, setting goals, taking action, and embracing your authenticity.

Emotional Intelligence

Achieving emotional intelligence involves learning and mastering your emotions to improve your control over yourself. Without it, thoughts and feelings can control you, putting you in a constant state of reaction. Having a high emotional IQ can help you avoid self-inflicted suffering, master your emotions and behaviors, and create a deeper understanding of yourself and others around you.

Mental Toughness

Mental toughness helps you stay the course when life gets hard. Without mental toughness and resilience, you’re more likely to give up on your goals, lose hope and belief in your life’s vision, and feel chronically stuck. Building mental toughness gets you out of your comfort zone and helps you build self-confidence. It enables you to weather the storms life throws at you so that you no longer fear change but crave it!

Members of YourLife Gym can also engage with our coaches and others in the mental fitness community through an online Discord server, where they can offer one another support and share beneficial self-development resources such as articles, books, podcasts, and videos. If you wish to get more deeply involved in enhancing your mental wellness, we also offer one-on-one coaching both in-person or virtual. 

Our all-inclusive and growing Mental Fitness Program has participants from all over the country who are dedicated to working hard to improve their lives from the inside out. Join our group and start your personal growth journey with us!

Note that our mental fitness coaches are NOT licensed therapists. Our program is not intended as a substitute for licensed, professional mental health care. Our coaches are trained to recognize when additional services may be required and are readily prepared to direct community members to resources that provide the help they need — if and/or when the need occurs. Our objective is to help dismantle the stigma of seeking mental health help. We do so by providing an effective and affordable service akin to a personal trainer for your mental fitness. Our program is designed to help individuals learn how to take more control over their lives; reduce feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression; and find support in a community of peers and like-minded people — and ultimately bring out the best versions of themselves!
